The past few months have been an incredible challenge for our industry. We know that all of our customers have felt the effects. However, the sanitation industry has been deemed essential. That means staying open and getting the job done, under new and ever-changing conditions.
The term Essential Employee has taken on a meaning more impressive than any of us could have imagined. We’ve always known that our people are essential to our success and growth, but seeing the team face hardship, put on a smile (under a mask of course), and continue working to serve our customers has been nothing short of heartwarming.
Over the past few weeks, our human resources department has pulled together and created a collection of images and portraits of our essential employees! They have also shared some tactics to keep employees safe, along with fun ways to encourage the team to take all necessary precautions.

Keeping Safe and Spirits High
For the safety and well-being of all team members, Satellite Industries has strongly encouraged all team members to wear a company-provided or homemade cloth mask while in the office or out in the warehouse. This is due to COVID-19 and the recommendation of the C.D.C., which states that wearing a cloth face-covering in public settings will help to slow the spread of the virus.
This mask helps our employees be proactive in preventing the spread of Coronavirus to customers, their coworkers, friends, and family members.
Finally, as a way to encourage our team, we’ve held mask competitions! The team can design and decorate their own masks, with the most creative ideas receiving prizes.
